About us
Built for England's rental reset.
RenterRight UK was created because the biggest change to English rental law in a generation deserved better than a 40-page government PDF.
Why we built this
The Renters' Rights Act 2026 came into force on 1 May 2026. It abolishes Section 21 no-fault evictions, caps rent increases to once per year, and creates new protections for 11 million UK renters. At the same time, landlords face fines of up to £40,000 for non-compliance.
We built RenterRight UK to make both sides of the law understandable and actionable — for free where it matters most (tenants), and at a fair price where compliance has real commercial consequences (landlords).
Our principles
- Plain English always. No legal jargon where plain language will do.
- Free for tenants. Tenant tools will never go behind a paywall.
- Accurate, not alarming. We report the law as it is, not as a scare tactic.
- No ads, no data selling. Our business model is subscriptions, not surveillance.
